In a significant anti-counterfeiting action, Delhi Police and representatives from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. successfully raided a business in Karol Bagh, seizing a substantial cache of counterfeit Honda motorcycle parts. The operation, led by Police Authorities, occurred on October 15, a supplier and stockist located in Karol Bagh, following suspicions of large-scale counterfeit activity.

The raid, targeted the unauthorized sale and distribution of fake Honda-branded parts and accessories. Officers confiscated an extensive assortment of counterfeit products, including – hub centres, steel plates, clutch wires, air filters, chain tensioners, handle grips, cardboard boxes, pieces of polythene packaging, rolls of MRP stickers, and rolls of branded tape. Authorities also seized a packaging sealing machine. In total, nearly 13,997 pieces of counterfeit products were impounded, marking a significant blow to the counterfeit trade in the region.

The action was initiated under Sections 103 and 104 of the Trademark Act, 1999, and an FIR (No. 810/2024) was registered against the accused. All seized items have been stored in the police warehouse and will be presented before a magistrate as part of the legal proceedings. According to Expert, the raid disrupted a major counterfeit supply chain and served as a deterrent to further illegal activities in the area.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has commended the police for their swift response and diligent action. The firm’s legal team has indicated that they will continue to collaborate closely with authorities to protect their brand from counterfeit operations, which pose risks to the company’s reputation and consumer safety.
