Artificial intelligence (AI) can substitute neither the human intelligence nor the humane element in the adjudicatory process, the Delhi High Court has held and said ChatGPT can’t be the basis of adjudication of legal or factual issues in a court of law.

In a significant victory for the globally renowned Danish toy company Lego, the Madras High Court has ruled in favour of the toy giant in a trademark dispute against Hyderabad-based candy manufacturer Leo Foods. The case centred around Leo Foods' use of a nearly identical mark on its candy products, which Lego argued was an infringement of its iconic brand.

The Court directed the Commissioners to conduct a search at the book houses and seize the infringing products bearing EBC’s registered trademarks or containing contents identical or deceptively similar to EBC’s books, books without hologram, packaging, labels, printing material and other material that reflect infringement of copyright and trademark.

The Delhi High Court imposed an ex-parte interim injunction against Aquakind Labs LLP, restraining the company from using the term "KIND" as part of its trade name "Aquakind." The decision comes in response to a lawsuit filed by Mankind Pharma Limited, which alleged that Aquakind's trade name was deceptively similar to its well-established trademark, "Mankind."
