Apple recently filed a patent which suggests future iPhones may ship with multiple Action Buttons. It also suggests that these customisable buttons may expand to devices like the iPad, Mac and more.

Apple is facing an intriguing legal dispute in Brazil when it comes to the “iPhone” trademark as a local company called Gradiente claims to have patented the name long before Apple. As the case still awaits a final judgment, Gradiente still believes that it created the first iPhone.

InterGlobe Aviation said that the “6E” mark is an integral part of IndiGo’s identity for the past 18 years and is a registered trademark that holds strong global recognition. Any unauthorised use of the “6E” mark, whether standalone or in any form, constitutes an infringement of IndiGo’s rights.

India recorded approximately 92,000 patent applications in the last financial year, Unnat Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks (CGPDTM) told news agency PTI on Tuesday. Speaking at an Assocham event in New Delhi, Pandit attributed the numbers to a rising interest in intellectual property (IP) protection in the country, with a new technology seeking protection every six minutes.
